Coalmont - Mr. Claudie Mott, 79, departed this life, February 10, 2014 at his home. He was retired from the State of Tennessee and attended Coalmont United Methodist Church. He was born in Coalmont on December 11, 1934 to Floyd and Hazel Lockhart Mott who preceded him in death along with his son, Wicky Mott; brothers, J.R. "Rooney and Tommy "Ledger" Mott.
He is survived by his daughter, Rhonda (Bill) Smith, Jacksonville, NC; grandchildren, Jason (Rhonda) Meeks, Peyton and Asha Yokley, Natasha Prince, Cory Mott and April Payne; 9 great grandchildren.
Memorial Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Clayton Jones officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery at a later date. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
