Palmer - Mr. Wendell Matthew "Matt" Myers, 35, passed away Friday April 4, 2014. He was a member of the Laborer's Union Local 846 in Chattanooga. He was preceded in death by his father, Rudy Wendell Myers.
He is survived by his mother, Nancy Campbell Griffith; sons, Tyler Myers and Teegan Birdwell; sisters, Kim Layne and Kim Myers; brothers, Dewayne Layne and Brad Nunley; grandson, Kayden Myers; several aunts, uncles and cousins.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Robert Harris and Tyler McCullough officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
