Gruetli-Laager - Mr. Robert Lee Morrison Sr., 79, passed away at his home Wednesday July 2, 2014. He was a veteran of the US Army Air Corp and retired from Combustion Engineering in Chattanooga. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on November 17, 1934 to Lonnie and Ethel Turner Morrison who preceded him in death along with his brother, Sammy, Sonny and Jerry Morrison; sisters, Charlene Cobb, Eula Mae Gardner, Carol Cox and Lynn Morrison.
He is survived by his long time companion, Katherine Delores Smith Hamill; son, Robert L. (Kristen) Morrison Jr. of San Antonio, TX; daughters, Deborah Morrison, Chattanoooga, Donna Morrison, Ringgold, GA and Diane Morrison, New Port Richey, FL; brother, Allen (Linda) Morrison, Gruetli-Laager; sister, Dolly Reed, Clinton, Iowa; several loving grandchildren, great grandchildren, nieces and nephews.
Graveside funeral services will 11:00 AM Thursday at the Swiss Colony Cemetery with military funeral honors provided by the Sequatchie Valley Honor Guard. Visitation: 9:30 AM - 10:30 AM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
