Gruetli-Laager - Mr. James H. "Cork" Coffelt, 56, passed away Thursday July 10, 2014. He was born in Whitwell on April 27, 1958 to Amos Henry and Violet Lucille Smith Coffelt who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Bob, Charles and L.D. Coffelt; sisters, Judith Hobbs, Mae Wanda Coffelt, Sylvia Green and Mary Rhea.
He is survived by his wife, Sandra Sue Caldwell Coffelt; daughters, Shasta (Zach) Jones, Tessa Scissom and Michelle Perry; son, David (Alicia) Scissom; sisters, Margie and Coretta Tate, Zaddie King; grandchildren, Alex, Ethan and Evan Nunley, Journey Jones, Nathan, Jory, Madison, Kellie and Jaylee Scissom, Chase and Selena Perry; a host of loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Swiss Colony Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
