Obituary of Johnnie Ruth Hampton

Palmer - Mrs. Johnnie Ruth Hampton, 77, passed away Wednesday, August 6, 2014 at her home with her family at her side. She was a member of the Palmer Church of God. She was born in White County, Tennessee on February 27, 1937 to John A. and Nellie Dykes Cordell who preceded her in death along with her sister, Helen Summers. She is survived by her daughters, Susan (Kenny) Knight, Estill Springs, Ruth Ann Hampton (Rod Harrison), Hixson; sons, Randy (Rena) Hampton and Wesley (Roxanne) Hampton both of Palmer; sister, Geneva Hancock, Crossville; brother, Clifford (Joyce) Cordell, Palmer; 9 grandchildren; 13 great grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with the family and Bro. Bill Smith officiating with burial to follow in the Brown's Chapel Cemetery with her grandsons serving as pallbearers.
