Altamont - Mr. Phillip Harold Barks, 54, died tragically, Thursday, July 31, 2014 in a house fire at his home. He was employed by Blevins Enterprises in Altamont. He was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on October 30, 1959 to James Ed and Euphemia King Barks who preceded him in death.
He is survived by his wife, Roxanne Campbell Barks; daughter, Miranda l. "Mandy" Barks; sons, Phillip Eugene (Jessica), Dustin Edward Lee (Kaci), Casey Harold (Kayle) and Justin Allen "Pooter" Barks; 5 grandchildren; sisters, Michelle and Carolyn; brothers, Melvin, Darrell (Melissa), Donnie, Frankie, Gerald, Danny, Johnny (Shannon) and Matt (Patricia) Barks; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Tuesday August 26, 2014 in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Don Hill officiating with burial to follow in the Whitman-King-Bess Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
