Obituary of Phillip Douglas Meeks

Tracy City - Mr. Phillip Douglas Meeks, 67, of the Flat Branch Community passed away Friday October 10, 2014. He was of the Baptist Faith. He was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on August 26, 1947 to Jessie and Henretta Campbell Meeks who preceded him in death along with his brothers, Franklin and Benton Meeks; niece, Joy Hall; nephews, Jesse, William and John Meeks, Tim Hall. He is survived by his wife of 46 years, Judith Anderson Meeks; daughters, Joan Chapman, Tracy City, Melisa "Sissy" (Michael) Caldwell, Coalmont, Phyllis C. Meeks, Tracy City; son, David Douglas Meeks, Tracy City; 6 grandchildren, Jonathan (Fiance' Heather Grayson) Chapman, Amber (Fiance' James Worley) Morgan, Robin (Zach) Seagroves, Heather (Fiance' Dustin Luzadder) Caldwell, Jacob Chapman, George Arthur Bolton III; great granddaughter, Kaylie Worley; sisters, Willie Mae Nunley and Carlene (Bill) Wilusz; brothers, Charles (Margie) Meeks and Paul Meeks; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Andy Lockhart and Sheriff Clint Shrum officiating with burial to follow in the Clouse Hill Cemetery.
