BEERSHEBA SPRINGS - Anthony C. Smartt, 69, died Tuesday, January 10, 2012. He was born on May 13, 1942 to Jessie D. and Lottie Fults Smartt who preceded him in death along with his son, Jessie "BoBo" Smartt; sisters, Ethel May and Lila Fay Smartt; brothers, Lanny, Danny and Steve Smartt; step-grandson, Travis King. He is survived by his wife, Lois Smartt; daughter, Lori Ann (Randy) McGee; son, Joseph (Sandy) Smartt; step-son, Johnny Campbell; step-daughters, Opal (L.V.) King, Della (Bobby) Brody, Roxanne (Phillip) Barks and Nadine (Joey) King; brother, Kelly (Glenda) Smartt; sisters, Carolyn (Wayne) Kilgore and Mildred (Linuel) Tate; 4 grandchildren, Makayla and Peyton McGee, Brennen and Kendra Richardson; 7 step-grandchildren; 5 step-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Don Hill, Bro. Clayton Jones and Bro. Jack Lambert officiating with burial to follow in the Northcutts Cove Cemetery. Visitation: 12:00 Noon - 10:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
