Gruetli-Laager - Mrs Claudia F. "Sissy" James, 66, died Saturday March 10, 2012 after a sudden illness. She was a member of Bivens Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. She was born in in Laager, TN. She was prececed in death by her parents Frank Savage and Edna Jewell White Burnett; daughters, Melissa Cookston Jackson and Cristy Elaine James; half-brothers, John Frank Burnett and Francis Hugh Meeks; She is survived by her husband, Randal James; sons, Dewayne and Tommy James; sister, Mary E. (Bill) Kirk; brothers; Willie R. "Winkle" Burnett and Raymond E. Burnett; grandchildren, Casey and Tommy Jessie James, Justin Cookston and Faith Jackson; great grandchildren, Daniel Joel and Dixie James; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with ministers, Larry Campbell, Dennis Campbell and Dennis "Crow" Rollins officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Monday and 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
