Gruetli-Laager - Mrs. Dora Edith Kelley, 96, passed away at her home, Saturday February 7, 2015. She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on August 4, 1918 to Noah A. and Nancy Jane Scruggs Brown who preceded her in death along with her sister, Louise Hatfield; brothers, James David, Alfred Andrew, Jewel "Rock" and Malcolm Brown; husbands, Robert Hargis, Roy Gilmer and James Kelley. She was a member of the Cumberland Heights Seventh-Day Adventist Church.
She is survived by her nieces, Margaret Custer and Barbara Pope; caregivers, Dewayne and Wanda Hart and children, Ashley and Kirbee, Katherine King; step-son, Kenneth (Dorothy) Kelley; several other nieces and nephews and her Church Family.
Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Walper officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
