McMinnvile - Mr. James Kelvin Sweeten, 59, passed away Saturday February 21, 2015 at River Park Hospital ER in McMinnville. He was born in Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee on November 17, 1955 to James Sweeten and Essie Jean Henderson who preceded her in death along with his brother, Sammy Byers; wife, Carolyn Sweeten.
He is survived by his sisters, Paula (Brook) Johnson, Manchester, TN, Lana Givens, Lebanon, TN and Johnnie Kay Ellis, Chatsworth, GA; step- sons, Richard (Crystal) Rhea, Micky and Jeremy Rhea, McMinnville; 8 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Sister Vickie Henderson officiating with burial to follow in the Hill's Creek Cemetery at Irving College. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennesee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
