Obituary of Marjorie Jean Hindman

Palmer - Mrs. Marjorie Jean Stockwell Payne Hindman, 87, passed away Saturday, March 14, 2015 at a Florence, Alabama nursing facility. She was a resident of Killen, AL and a member of Highland Park Baptist Church Muscle Shoals, AL. She was born in Sewanee, Tennessee on May 24, 1927 to John Willard Stockwell and Minnie Gertrude McGovern who preceded her in death along with her son, Larry Douglas Payne; husband and father of her children, J.L. Payne and after his death she married Joseph B. Hindman who also preceded her; sisters, Pearl Savage and Virginia Dillon; brothers, Clarence, John Jr., Howard and Byron Stockwell; 2 infant brothers. She is survived by her son, Chester (Joyce) Payne, Muscle Shoals, AL; daughter, Peggy Joyce (Late Earl) Jones, Florence, AL; 8 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; 1 great-great-grandchild; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 pm Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Bobby Payne and Jerry Stockwell officiating with burial to follow in the Brown's Chapel Cemetery.
