Obituary of Margaret Fay Hanson

Margaret "Fay" Layne Hanson, 79, went home to be with her Lord and Savior, Friday, May 1, 2015 in Chattanooga with her family at her side. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on October 17, 1935 to Roy David and Louise Geary Layne who preceded her in death along with her brother, Jackie "Boot Jack" Layne; sister, Janice Gulas; husband, Donald Hanson.
She is survived by her son, Carl Steven Caldwell; daughter, Sharon "Sheri" Morgan Morris and her husband Jeff, all of Chattanooga; sister, Dorothy (Lowell) Lockhart, Griffiths Creek; brothers, Charles D. (Nell) Layne, Palmer, Chester E. (Darlene) Layne, Ringgold, GA, Ricky (Freda) Layne, Cumberland Heights; several loving nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM CDT Sunday at Layne Funeral Home in the funeral home chapel with family officiating. Visitation: 4:00 PM - 8:00 PM CDT Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. Burial will be 2:30 PM EDT Wednesday May 6, 2015 at the Chattanooga National Cemetery. In lieu of flowers the family asks that memorial contributions be made to Hospice of Chattanooga. www.laynefuneralhome.com
