Palmer - Mrs. Nadine Meeks Ross, 86, passed away Thursday May 7, 2015 at the Sheltering Arms Home. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on June 24, 1928 to Freddie and Agnes Henley Cannon who preceded her in death along with her husband and father of her children, Buford Meeks; husband, James Ross; daughter, Linda Stockwell; great-granddaughter, Brooke Stockwell; brothers, Glen, Howard, Horace, Leon, Tony and Pete Cannon; sisters, Martha Henley, Oma Lee Cleek, Carlene "Tootsie" Smith.
She is survived by her sons, Buford H. "Mousey" (Tina) Meeks, Alan Dean "Dino" (Terry) Meeks and Freddie Meeks; daughters, Patricia (Riley) Anderson, Mona (Keith) Tate and Susey Nunley; sister, Venova Cleek; son-in-law, David Stockwell; 18 grandchildren; 37 great-grandchildren; 3 great-great-grandchildren; a host of nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Riley Anderson, Greg Jones and John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
