PALMER - Mrs. Margaret Crabtree, 76, passed away on Tuesday, March 20, 2012 at her home in Hixson, Tennessee. She was born on December 29, 1935 to the late Robert and Mildred Barnett Summers. She married William Henry "Jip" Crabtree, Jr. who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Betty Groff and Jo Hardy; brother, Roberts Summers, Jr. She is survived by her daughter, Rita (Martin) Smith; grandsons, Scott (Susie) and Jarrod (Cathy) Smith; great grandchildren, Atticus, Holden, Sawyer, Caitlyn and Keaton; sisters, Leota Summers and Faye (Roland) Smith; brothers, Jack (Helen), James (Ellen), Lewis (Linda) and Tony (Lana) Summers; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be held 12:00 Noon Thursday from the graveside at Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
