Dunlap - Mrs. Julia Brewer Roberts, 73, passed away Tuesday May 19, 2015. She born in Bledsoe County on April 30, 1942 to Frank and Ruth Melton Brewer who preceded her in death. She was of the Baptist Faith and loved to volunteer to help with any childrens activities including, kindergarten registration, The Imagination Library and the Summer Reading Program.
She is survived by her husband, Harold Roberts; daughter and son-in-law, Karen and Larry Powell of Dunlap; sisters, Margie (Joe) Melton, Gail (Anthony) Campbell and Kelly Boles; grandchildren, Christa and Candace Powell; great-granddaughter, Catie; several nieces and nephews.
Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Danny Coffelt and Larry Crabtree officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. www.laynefuneralhome.com
