Master Chief Weaver was my first COB on the Wyoming. He mentored me and set fantastic examples as a sailor, leader, friend, and man. I will never forget conversations with him. He was wise and kind to all. Though he left us so early in life I hope and pray that you may all find comfort in knowing that he touched the hearts and minds of so many...and that he left his mark on this world and made it a better place for us all. Master Chief Weaver was the Chief of the Boat when I showed up to the USS Wyoming. he was a shining example of the type of sailor each of us wanted to be. His efforts to push junior sailors and mold them into Submariners will be greatly missed.

Marty, Fair Winds, Following Seas and Quiet Anchorage Marty. Sailor Rest Your Oars, We have the Watch!! Marty and I served on the Francis Scott Key Gold together when we were first in the Navy around the 75 and 76 time frame. Marty messcooked for me and was one of the NICEST young men you ever wanted to meet. He was ALWAYS kind and very seldom got mad. He was a Fantastic A Ganger willing to help anyone! We did things together during off crew with other friends off the Key Gold. Sorry for your loss...Love and Miss You!! Tell my father Hello when you see him. He just left us on Saturday 8/8/2015. God Bless you Marty and your family!! Rest in Peace Friend!!

Marty and I served together on the Francis Scott Key many years ago when we were youg sailors and our passed crossed several times afterward, which is not hard in the Submarine Force. We share many good times together and many a conversation in AMR2. Rest your oars my friend...

Marty was our Chief of the Boat onboard USS WYOMING (Blue Crew) and he was a COB that I wanted to emulate when I went on to serve as a COB 3 years later. A great man, friend and fellow Master Chief. We are saddened today from the loss of Marty but I am a better person from knowing Marty. Prayers and heartfelt hugs to Megan, Marty's mom and entire family.
