Obituary of Delbert Lee Hargis

Palmer - Mr. Delbert Lee Hargis, 95, passed away, Tuesday, September 15, 2015 at the Sheltering Arms in Palmer. Delbert was a member of the Collins Church of Christ where he had served as Church Treasurer for over 62 years. He was born in Palmer, Tennessee on March 9, 1920 to Robert and Rose Wischser Hargis who preceded him death along with wife of 72 years, Carlene E. Givens Hargis; sister, Hilda Marie Henderson; infant brother, Vernon Ray Hargis; infant sister, Dola Ann Hargis; great grandson, Christopher. He is survived by his sons and daugther-in-laws, Jack and Louise and Dwight and Joan Hargis of Gruetli-Laager; sister, Dorothy Mayes of Ohio; grandchildren, Sandra (Charlie), Anita (Jeff), Charity (Kevin) and Jack Jr. (Kathy) and Craig; 7 great grandchildren. Graveside funeral services will be 11:00 AM Friday at the Swiss Colony Cemetery with Ministers, David Vann Horn and John Potts officiating.
