COALMONT - Mr. Samuel Brown "Sam" Creighton, passed away peacefully on Easter Sunday, April 08, 2012. He was preceded in death by his parents, Bob and Ethleen Creighton and one brother, Robert Creighton. Sam was a life-long member of the Coalmont United Methodist Church, a graduate of Grundy County High School and a third generation store-keeper at Creighton's Grocery. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Clayton Jones and Ray Winton officiating with burial to follow in the Coalmont Cemetery. Visitation: 2:00 PM - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
