Obituary of Lester Ray Comstock

McMinnville, Tennessee - Mr. Lester Ray Comstock, 92, passed away, Monday January 11, 2016 at Raintree Manor in McMinnville. He was born on September 8, 1923 in Parkersburg, West Virginia to Lewis Raymond and Oddie Dailey Comstock who preceded him in death along with his son, Robert Comstock; sisters, Roberta Wooley and Edith Conger; brother, Charles Comstock and a infant brother, Robert Comstock and infant twin siblings. He was a member of the Church of Christ and a US Army veteran of WWII. He is survived by his wife of 70 years, Harriet June Hagelbarger Comstock, McMinnville; son, Roger (Charlotte) Comstock, McMinnville; daughters, Ellen (Paul) Ostrander, Sevierville, TN and Peggy (David) Watson, Middleburg, FL; 15 Grandchildren; 26 great-grandchildren; 3 great great grandchildren; and a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral Services will be 2:00 PM Saturday January 16, 2016 in the chapel of Lassiter Funeral Home, 11337 Upper Gilchrist Road, Mount Vernon, Ohio. Visitation: 1:00 PM -2:00 PM Saturday at Lassiter with burial to follow in the Union Grove Cemetery.
