GRUETLI-LAAGER - Mrs. Madge A. James, 78, passed away on Saturday, April 14, 2012 at the home of her daughter in Knoxville, TN. She was born in Gruetli-Laager, TN on July 04, 1933 to John and Elva Street Tate who preceded her in death along with her husband, Neal James; sister, Mary Brooks; brothers, James Wayne and Johnny Vernon Tate. She is survived by her daughter, Lisa (Carl) Speer; son, Lebron (Elonia) James; sister, Nancy Stewart; brother, Bill Tate; 9 grandchildren; 1 great-grandchild; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 12:00 Noon Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Cary Gomer officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 4:00 PM - 9:30 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
