Gruetli-Laager – Mrs. Anna Lee McDaniel, 76, a light to all who knew her went to be with her Lord on April 2, 2016 surrounded by her family. Ann had a sparkling personality and a smile that brightened every room. She made every person feel special and was a giving and devoted mother, grandmother, great grandmother, daughter, sister, aunt and friend. Ann was beloved. Ann was the daughter of the late Floyd Tate and Mary Louise Cunningham Tate. She was the youngest of three children. She was a loving wife of 52 years to Jack McDaniel who preceded her in death along with their infant daughter, Darla, her beloved grandson, Corey and her parents. Ann is survived by her daughters, Debbie (Larry) Henry, Susan (the late Peanut) Scissom and Jackie (Buddy) Sweeton; grandchildren, Jill (Jimbo) Crabtree, Chris (Rhonda) Henry, Jody Scissom, Lori Henry, Jason (Jessica) Sweeton (and baby on the way), Jazmin Sweeton (Ryan); great grandchildren, Chloe Scissom, Luke Henry, Laurel Henry and Jacie Coriann Wideman; brother, Leon “Gabby” Tate; sister, Jimmie K. Levan; several loving neices and nephews; loving companions, Shooter and Oliver. She was a member of the Gruetli Church of God. Ann had a strong faith and will be long remembered for the immeasurable gifts she gave and for the deep impression she has left on the hearts of all who knew her. Ann was a retired sewing machine operator, she took great pride in her job and enjoyed the fellowship with her co-workers and friends. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Willard Griffin, John Potts and Matthew Meeks officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery.
