Obituary of Ruth E. Northcutt

Altamont - Mrs. Ruth E. Winton Northcutt, 93, of Cumberland Heights, passed away Wednesday, May 2, 2012. She was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont. She was born in Coalmont, Tennessee on February 11, 1919 to her parents, Leonard B. Winton and Nina T. Campbell Winton who preceded her in death along with her husband, D.V. Northcutt; grandson, David Pennell; infant sister, Nannie Mae Winton; brothers, Dale and Wayne Winton. She is survived by her daughters, Wilma (Steve) Trussler, Monteagle, Verna Lynn (Wayne) Johnson, White House, Tennessee and Anita (Bill) Pennell, Fort Lauderdale, Florida; grandchildren, Jay (Leslie) and Jon (Kate) Trussler, Megan and Bryan Searcy, Anna Johnson; great grandchildren, Nicholas and Jake, Jett and Tripp Trussler; brothers, Jamie Winton, Cumberland Heights, Ray (Doris) Winton, Coalmont and Howard (Mary Ann) Winton, Cowan; sister-in-law, Era Northcutt Pennell, Evanston, Illinois; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Ray Winton and Bro. Joe Gray officiating with burial to follow in the Armstrong Cemetery at Northcutt's Cove. Visitation: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Friday and 12:00 Noon till 2:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee
