Palmer - Mr. Jones Ray Hoosier, 82, died Thursday June 10, 2010. He was born in Jefferson, NC on November 09, 1927 to Jack and Phobee Stringer Hoosier who preceded him in death along with his first wife, Nell Rose Magouirk Hoosier; sister, George Annie McNeil; brothers, Worth, Robert and Joseph Hoosier. He is survived by his wife, Faye Smith Hoosier; sons, Bill (the late Vicki) Hoosier and Jackey (Rita) Hoosier; sister, Josephine Pendergrass, NC; grandchildren, Scotty, Michael and Brittney Hoosier, Andrea West; step-son, Casey (Faye) Layne; great-grandchildren, Hunter and Sophie Layne, Hayden Meeks, Aubrey Hoosier and Jarvis Dent; several other loving step-children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation after 3:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, TN.
