GRUETLI-LAAGER - Margie Schlageter Long, 90, passed away Thursday, May 03, 2012. She was a member of the Laager Baptist Church and Order of the Eastern Star #266 Tracy City Chapter. She was born in Palmer on June 16, 1922 to James and Rosa Tate Shrum who preceded her in death along with her husband, Bert Schlageter; 2nd husband, Ted Long; sisters, Nancy Skeen and Rose Creighton; brothers, John and James Shrum; step-son, Lindley Long; step-daughter, Charlotte Cannon. She is survived by her sisters, Jessie Land, Mary Eunice Seagroves, Ima Jean (Bob) Geary; half-sister, Grace (Lindon) Boyd; step-son, Kelso (Sue Ann) Long; a host of loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Brett Meeks and John Potts officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
