SPENCER - Pastor H.B. Keener, 72, of the Piney Community, passed away Tuesday, May 08, 2012 at his home. He was the Pastor of the Keener Hill Church of God. He was born in Pikeville on February 22, 1940 to Alonzo Keener and Molly Songer Summers who preceded him in death along with his sister, Eliose Magouirk Potts; brothers, Chester and Boss Keener, Clyde Summers; infant grandson, R.C. Christian; infant great-granddaughter, Alana Martin. He is survived by his wife, Jernice White Keener; son, Dwayne Keener; daughters, Shelia Keener, Darlene (Jason) Armstrong, Shannon (Doug) Delong and Wanda Christian; brothers, Carl "Tince" (Reva) Keener and Hubert (Peggy) Summers; sisters, Essie May Keener, Ola May (Herman) Nolan and Dorothy Brooks; 17 grandchildren; 9 great-grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers, Bobby Bond and Bill Smith officiating with burial to follow at Keener Hill Cemetery with a final viewing in the Church for local friends and neighbors. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Wednesday & 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee
