Obituary of Hal B. Smith

Gruetli-Laager - Hal B. "Vonn" Smith, 57, of Tunnel Hill, GA passed away Monday, December 20, 2010. He was preceded in death by his parents, Elvin and Beulah Smith; brothers, Herbert Chester, Dee and Alfred Smith; sisters, Aline Hargis, Martha Caldwell, Mary Burnett, Lou Bess and Edna Brown. He is survived by his sons, Jeremy (Connie) Smith, Dalton, GA and Johnny Smith, Rossville, GA; wife, Beverly Smith; sisters, Betty (Don) Mathis and Lois Lance, GA; brothers, Sam (Faye) Smith, Gruetli-Laager, Bob (Geraldine), Fred (Kerry) and Troy (Angie) Smith all of GA; 2 grandchildren; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minister Raymond Borne officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
