GRUETLI-LAAGER- Mrs. Vera Alice Box, 92, died at her home Sunday January 09, 2011. She was preceded in death by her parents, Arch Shaw Brown and Elizabeth Etta Crabtree Brown; husband, Jacob Lee Box; son, Jacob Eugene Box; sisters, Villon Cox, Ida Cannon and Etta Marie Pyborn; brothers, Lee, Claude, William, Henry, Charles and David Brown. She is survived by her grandson, Brian (Peggy) Box, Dearborn Heights, MI; great-grandchildren, Sara, Jacob and Rachel; step-grandchildren, Kelly (Leighanne) Beesley, Trenton, GA, Tim (Shannon) Beesley, Chickamauga, GA and Kim (Jerry) Brown, Fort Oglethorpe, GA; step-great-grandchildren, Anthony, Chris, Tyler, Jack, Erin, Isabel, Blake, Alexis and Chase; several loving nieces, nephews, great-nieces and great-nephews; Brenda Bivens, George Walters, Freda Burnett, Claudette Nolan and Charlie Shrum. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Charlie Shrum officiating. Interment: Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
