Altamont - Christopher Brian Bess, 25, died Sunday, March 19, 2011 in a automobile accident. He was born on November 10, 1985. He was a 2003 graduate of Grundy County High School. He was preceded in death by his brother, David Wayne "Butter" Bess; grandfathers, Dewitt Meeks and Basil Bess. He is survived by his parents, Bodie and Diane Bess; brother, Scott Cody Bess; grandmothers, Alice Meeks and Mary E. Bess. Funeral services will be Tuesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation after 5:00 PM Monday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN. Contributions may be made to the funeral home to help with funeral expenses.
