Obituary of Cecil Homer Walker

Palmer, Rev. Cecil Homer Walker, 78, passed away Friday April 22, 2011. He was a Baptist Minister serving many congregations in the area and a US Army veteran. He was born in Dunlap on July 13, 1932 to Homer and Bessie Hatfield Walker who preceded him in death along with his sister, Rebecca Smith and brothers, J. B., George and Ernest Walker. He is survived by his wife, Jo Ann Lockhart Walker; daughters, Scarlett and Cindy Walker; granddaughter, Amanda McCarver; sister, Imogene and Husband Ray Skyles; brother, Edward and wife Sue Walker; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bobby Payne and Bro. Edward Walker officiating with burial to follow in the Browns Chapel Cemetery with military honors. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
