GRUETLI-LAAGER - Roy Lyndell Layne, 54, died Sunday, April 24, 2011. He was preceded in death by his father, Gilbert Layne; brother, Billy Eugene Hobbs. He is survived by his companion and life friend, Faye Bivens; daughters, Sue (Ricky) Meeks, Hope (Chad) Bivens and Faith (Travis) Bivens; sons, Charles Jr. (Hassie), Ottis, Eugene (Emma) and Tim (Annie Mae) Bivens; mother, Shirley Blakenship, Palmeto, FL; sisters, Shirley Marie Roberts, Palmer and Shelia (Angel) Sanchez; brothers, Jesse Roddy, Chattanooga, John Edward Parsons, Anchorage, AK, J.L. Layne, Austin, TX, Lester (Gracie) Layne, Gruetli-Laager; 13 grandchildren; 4 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Brett Meeks officiating with burial to follow in the Burkett's Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 10:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
