Coalmont - Mrs. Shirley Mae Meeks, 62, passed away at her home Thursday May 26, 2011. She was a member of the Bethshan Baptist Church and employed by Edna's Lawn Care. She was born in Taylorville, IL on December 13, 1948 to Lois and Mae Burnett Gibbs who preceded her in death along with her brother, Gene Burnett and sister, Joyce Johnson. She is survived by her daughters, Edna (Gary) Nunley and Lindsey Meeks; son, Eddie (Carol) Meeks; brother, Freddie Burnett; special friends, Jack and Shirley Phipps and Justin and Linda Nunley; grandchildren, Jamie and Aubrey Nunley, Kayla and Melissa Meeks, Jennifer (DeShawn) Johnson; great grandchildren, Kaitlyn and Dalton Johnson. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Bobby Payne officiating with burial to follow in the Bonnie Oaks Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee
