Gruetli-Laager - Billy E. Phillips, 58, died Saturday, June 16, 2012. He was of the Church of God Faith. He was born March 02, 1954 to David F. and Ruby Nell Davis Phillips who preceded him in death along with his brother, Spec. Marvin F. Phillips. He is survived by his sons, Joshua (Latricia) Phillips and Billy Phillips; daughters, Jennifer Calhoun, Shasta (Roberto) Garcia and Stephanie (Felipe) Vargas; brothers, Jerry, James Earl, Glenn (Terry) and Kirk Phillips; sisters, Mary Ruth (Mike) Shadrick and Lucy (Paul) West; several grandchildren, nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Willard Griffin officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation will be Sunday 4:00 PM - 9:00 PM at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. Online condolences at www.laynefuneralhome.com.
