PALMER - Mrs. Pauline Shrum Clifton, 77, passed away Tuesday, August 30, 2011. She was a member of the Community Harvest Church of God. She was born in Palmer on June 12, 1934 to Howard and Opal Crabtree Shrum who preceded her in death along with her brother, Franklin "Pinky" Shrum. She is survived by her husband of 58 years, Sam Clifton; daughters, Janet (Danny) Styles, OH and Nancy (Stephen) Crisp, Coalmont; sons, Jimmy (Katherine) Clifton, OH and Eugene (Michelle) Clifton, FL; brothers, Sonny Shrum, Fort Oglethrope, Jerry (Ann) Shrum, Gruetli-Laager; sisters, Anita Layne, Brenda (Floyd) Jones, Billie Faye (Leo) Boggess, Carolyn Ann (Larry) Hawkins and Nancy (Frank) Weiss; 13 grandchildren; 10 great-grandchildren; several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Benji Goins and Bro. Greg Jones officiating with burial to follow in the Palmer Cemetery. Visitation: 12:00 Noon - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
