ALTAMONT - Charles Danny "Dan" Bess, 64, passed away Sunday, June 17, 2012 at his home. He was born on March 12, 1948 to Shelvy and Margie Lockhart Bess who preceded him in death along with his daughter, Wendy Dawn Bess; brother, Donnie Bess. He is survived by his wife, Etta Bess; sons, Lee (Shelia), Shawn, Terry (Charlene) and Neil Bess; brother, Dale (Sandy) Bess; 12 grandchildren; 2 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 2:00 Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Altamont Cemetery. Visitation: 11:00 AM - 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, Tennessee.
