GRUETLI-LAAGER - Richard Lee Applequist Howe, 77, died Monday, September 12, 2011. He was a member of Bivens Chapel Congregational Methodist Church. He was preceded in death by his adopted parents, Leslie Claude Howe and Myrtle Bell Howe; biological parents, Harold Alexander Applequist and Ruby Gallagher. He is survived by his sons, Richard Lee Howe, Jr., Denton Scott Howe and Brian Keith Howe; sister, Doris White; former wife and friends, Sandra and Daniel Watts; a host of loving friends. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Larry Campbell officiating with burial to follow in the Burketts Chapel Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
