Obituary of Charles E. Stockwell

PALMER - Charles E. Stockwell, 70, went to be with his Lord and Savior Thursday morning, September 22, 2011 at his home. He was born in Palmer on January 28, 1941 to Howard and Corine King Stockwell who preceded him in death along with his nephew, Timothy Stockwell. He was a self-employed logger working in timber since 1973. His favorite pastime was restoring antique cars. He attended Flat Mountain Baptist Church. He is survived by his loving wife of 52 years, Frances Wideman Stockwell; sons, Keith (Yonna) Stockwell and Christopher Earl Stockwell; daughter, Shelia Denise (Buford) Dennis; brothers, Alvin (Doris) and David (Linda) Stockwell; sister, Wilma (Gary) Dunham; grandchildren, Crystal, Heather, Matthew, Kellie, Taylor and Dalton; great-grandchildren, Hannah, Mason and Addisyn; several loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 3:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Jerry Stockwell and Bro. Tony Cates officiating with burial to follow in the Stockwell Family Cemetery. Visitation: 1:00 PM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
