CHATTANOOGA - Sterling E. "Little Man" Pollard, 49, died Monday, September 26, 2011. He was born in California on September 01, 1962. He was a member of the Gruetli Church of God. He was preceded in death by his father, Franklin Leon Pollard; brother, Johnny Pollard. He is survived by his wife, Betty Jo Wright Pollard; mother and step-father, Mildred and Paul Layne; son, Patrick Pollard; step-son, Shane Wright; step-sisters, Amanda, Sherry and Carolyn Wright; sisters, Doris Layne, Dora Hicks, Charlene Shafer and Darlene Pollard; 17 grandchildren; loving nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Willard Griffin officiating with burial to follow in the Griffiths Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 12:00 Noon - 9:00 PM Wednesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
