MURFREESBORO - Mr. John Lewis Henley, 85, died Thursday, September 29, 2011. He was retired from General Motors and was a member of the Collinwood Lodge #582 F&AM in Euclid, OH. He was born in Palmer on September 01, 1926 to Carter P. and Ida Caldwell Henley who preceded him in death along with his sisters, Louise Henley, Altha Henley and Hazel Ruth Johnson. He is survived by his wife of 60 years, Thelma Corrine Woodlee Henley; son, Dennis Lee (Felicia) Henley, Linden, TN; daughters, Brancel Wagner, Shelia Johns and Lisa (Bryce) Underwood; sisters, Delta (Bill) Whitson and Callie Simmons; 9 grandchildren; 8 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be held 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bishop Willard Griffin with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 6:00 PM - 9:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
