GRUETLI-LAAGER - Mrs. Carol Joyce Combs, 67, passed away on Thursday, July 05, 2012. She was born in Yale, Michigan on June 09, 1945 to Floyd and Golda Cornell Wheeler who preceded her in death along with her son, Donald R. Combs, II; sisters, Helen Clink and Bernita Badley. She is survived by her son, Ron (Doris) Combs; step-son, William Curtis Blair; sisters, Golda Williams and Marge Jarvis; grandchildren, Melissa Dawn Pearson, Natasha Byers, Donald, Icy and Samuel Combs; great-grandchildren, Tori and Elijah Pierson, Darius Combs and Domanic Byers. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Jeff Walper and Elder Eddie Gober officiating with burial to follow in the Cumberland Heights Memorial Gardens. Visitation: 5:00 PM - 9:00 PM Thursday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee.
