PALMER - Mrs. Gussie G. Flynn, 93, passed away Friday, October 21, 2011. She was a member of the Palmer First Church of the Nazarene. She was born in Paynes Cove near Pelham, TN on June 11, 1918 to James Franklin "Papa Jim" and Rosa Roberts Magouirk. She married Douglas Flynn who preceded her in death along with her daughter and son-in-law, Chet and Ella Rose Cleek; son, Carl "Chunk" Flynn; son-in-law, Billy Ray Caldwell; grandsons, Mike Cleek, Eddie Cleek and Troy Flynn; brothers, Ambrose, Dennie, Ellis, Francis and Ira Magouirk; sisters, Clercie White, Kenetha Boggs, Beatrice Conry, Hazel Magouirk, Jessiebell Magouirk. She is survived by her daughter, Rena Ann Caldwell; grandchildren, Roxann (Wes) Hampton, David (Roseanna) Cleek, Kenneth (Carrie) Caldwell, Kim (Jeff) Hobbs and Pamela Caldwell Warren; 15 great-grandchildren; 7 great-great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM Monday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. James Jacks officiating with burial to follow in the Doug Flynn Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Sunday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
