CHATTANOOGA - Arthur R. Creighton, 96, passed away Saturday, November 12, 2011 at his home. He was retired from the US Navy with 30 years service, serving in WWII, Korean Conflict and Vietnam. He was retired from ICI-Americas, Inc. He was a member of the Harrison United Methodist Church, Red Bank Lodge #717 Free and Accepted Masons, Scottish Rite Bodies of Chattanooga and the Alhambra Shrine Temple. He was born in Beersheba Springs on January 09, 1915 to Morgan and Elizabeth Perry Creighton who preceded him in death along with his sister, Martha Sue Miller; brothers, Leonard, James and Earl Creighton. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Mary Lou Roberts Creighton; son, Michael Creighton, Hermitage, TN; daughters, Evelyn Rocella Anderson, Chattanooga, TN, Rosalind (Steven) Wood, Alcoa, TN and Myra K. Creighton, Atlanta, GA; sisters, Gladys Arnett, Miami, FL and Mary Kinser, Greenback, TN; brothers, Tom (Margaret) Creighton, Tracy City, TN, John (Wanda) Creighton, Chattanooga, TN and Ralph Taylor (Barbara) Creighton, Gruetli-Laager, TN; sister-in-law, Ann Creighton; grandchildren, Rachel Wood, Amanda Chitwood, Morgan (Sara) Wood and Trevor Anderson; great-grandchild, Dylan Chitwood. Funeral services will be 11:00 AM CST Wednesday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. John Kennedy and Bro, Jack Nichols officiating with burial to follow in the Chattanooga National Cemetery with Full Military Honors at 2:30 PM EST. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 9:00 PM Tuesday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. Masonic service at 7:00 PM Tuesday.
