COALMONT - Joe Vernon Hargis, 53, passed away Friday, November 18, 2011. He was born June 26, 1958. He was preceded in death by his father, James "Jimmy" Hargis. He is survived by his mother, Mary Bean Hargis; daughter, Brenda Myers; companion, Teresa Meeks; brother, Larry Hargis; sisters, Wanda Hargis and Edith Hargis; special nephew, Matthew; nephews, Ryan, Aaron, Tyler and Macade; nieces, Mackenzie and Bailey. Funeral services will be 2:00 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Wayne Norris and Bro. Larry Crabtree officiating with burial to follow in the Fall Creek Cemetery. Visitation: 3:00 PM - 10:00 PM Saturday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, TN.
