BEERSHEBA SPRINGS - Mr. Horace N. Knight, 83, died Wednesday, December 14, 2011 at his home. He was retired from Carrier Corporation and enjoyed logging with mules in his younger days. He was born on August 06, 1928 to Albert and Bernice Miller Knight who preceded him in death along with his son, Horace Newton Knight, Jr.; brother, Dennis Knight; sisters, Lucille Knight and Vernie Green. He is survived by his wife of 59 years, Ruth King Knight; daughters, Nadine (Larry) Richardson, Deborah (Barry Hennessee) Williams, Marsha (Wendell) Smartt, Polly (Rickey) Whitman, Regina (Lindsey) Stewart and Wanda (Michael) Whitman; sisters, Josephine Grimes and Georgia (David) Knight; brother, Albert "Hooty" (Jean) Knight; sister-in-law, Georgia Knight; brother-in-law, Paul Green; 15 grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. Barry Whitaker and Bro. Micah Roberts officiating with burial to follow in the Hunerwadel Cemetery. Visitation: 5:00 Pm - 10:00 PM Thursday and 10:00 AM - 10:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN.
