TRACY CITY - Richard Arlen Tate, 56, died Thursday, December 22, 2011 at his home. He was a US Army Veteran. He was born January 14, 1955. He was preceded in death by his parents, Paul Tate and Hazel Campbell Caldwell; brother, Grady Tate. He is survived by his wife, Sarah King Tate; sons, Richard A. Tate, II and Jessie James Tate; daughters, Lahoma Tate, Cynithia (Robbie) Putnam, Kathy Tate and Sarah Tate; brothers, Jessie (Nancy) Tate and Allen (Cristal) Caldwell; sisters, Bonnie (Ed) Shoultz, Shirley (Arthur) Borne, Brenda (Larry) Burns, Glenda (Marcie) Shelton and Ellen Meeks; 16 granchildren; nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with Bro. John Potts and Herbert W. King, Jr. officiating with burial to follow in the Little Johnny Myers Cemetery with Military Honors. Visitation: 11:00 AM - 1:00 PM Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Altamont, TN.
