Obituary of America Edna Taylor

Palmer – Miss America Edna Taylor, 95, passed away Friday April 29, 2016 at NHC Nursing Home in McMinnville, Tennessee. She was born in Palmer, Tennessee on May 15, 1920 to Francis Marion and Margaret Lear Bess Taylor who preceded her in death along with her sisters, Laura Rains, Bessie Nunley, Mable Jenkins and Rosie Jarrett; brothers, Everett, Emmory, Corbett and Ivory Taylor. She was a member of the First Baptist Church at Gruetli-Laager, Tennessee. She is survived by several nieces and nephews along with her caregiver and nephew, Francis Nunley of McMinnville. Graveside funeral services will be 10:00 AM Tuesday at the Fall Creek Cemetery in Gruetli-Laager with Bro. Rick Ruehling officiating. There will be no visitation at the funeral home.
