Obituary of George Edward Nunley

Altamont – Mr. George Edward Nunley, 64, passed away at his home, Tueday May 24, 2016. He was born in McMinnville, Tennessee on May 5, 1952 to James and Frances Schiesser Nunley who preceded him in death along with his sister, Patricia Nunley and his infant brother, Dewey Glen Nunley. He was a member of the Church of Christ at Altamont and was employed by Morrison Industries. He is survived by his wife, Ann Higgins Nunley; daughters, Athena (Chuck) Shrum and Olympia Nunley; sons, Klent (Stephanie) Nunley, Remington and Abraham Nunley; sisters, Jewell Wanamaker, Maxine (Jim) Wanamaker, Josie (Edward) Wanamaker, Edna (Douglas) Killian and Phylecia (Manuel) Fonseca; grandchildren, Megan and Jacob Shrum and Abby Nunley; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 4:00 PM Thursday in the funeral home chapel with Minsiters Ray Winton and Coy King officiating with burial to follow in the Nunley Oaks Cemetery on Old Burroughs Cove Road in Altamont.
