Palmer – Mrs. Velvie Lee Russell, 80, died at the home of her son in Tracy City on July 7, 2016. She was born March 8, 1936 to Lee and Icie Lou Fults Kenner who preceded her in death along with her husband, Daniel Russell; infant twin son and daughter; sisters, Polly Bowman, Molly Layman, Martha Sullivan and Betty Swindle.
She is survived by her sons, Stevie (Kimberly) Russell, Tracy City; Danny (Anita) Russell, Rossville; daughter, Brenda (Luther) Arp, Atlanta; sisters, Deborah Meeks and Dellene Bivens; 6 grandchildren; several great grandchildren.
Funeral services will be 1:00pm Saturday in the funeral home chapel with Pastor Danny Coffelt officiating with burial to follow in the Shockley Cemetery in Spencer, TN Visitation: 3:00pm-9:00pm Friday at Layne Funeral Home, Palmer, Tennessee. Online condolences at www.laynefuneralhome.com
