Obituary of Donald Eugene Bivens

Gruetli-Laager – Mr. Donald Eugene Bivens, 66, passed away Monday July 11, 2016 at the Erlanger Hosptial in Chattanooga. He was born in McMinnville, TN on October 28, 1949 to William Thurston and Mae Arlene Brown Bivens who preceded him in death along with his sons, Quentin and Matthew Bivens; brother, Charles Bivens. He was a retired Coal miner. He is survived by his wife, Brenda Bivens; daughters, Yolanda (James) Caldwell and Augusta (Bryan) Vandergriff; brother, Mark Bivens; sisters, Willene (Preston) Knowlan, Mary Thomas, Alma Layne, Joyce (Bradley) Layne, Darlene (Anthony) Sanders; grandchildren, Solon, Ariel, Dean, Chyenne, Octavia, Alexzander, Aurora and Malachi; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 1:00 PM Friday in the funeral home chapel with burial to follow in the Burketts Chapel Cemetery.
