Obituary of Wendell Stiefel

Gruetli-Laager – Mr. Wendell Stiefel, 62, passed away unexpectedly Friday September 9, 2016. He was born in Altamont, Tennessee on October 20, 1953. He was retired from Carrier Corporation and was an autobody repairman. He was a member of the Bivens Chapel Congregational Methodist Church where he served as song leader for many years. He is survived by his wife, Kathy Bivens Stiefel; parents, Eule and Alma Stiefel; daughter, Wendy (Andy) Lockhart; sons, Chad (Crystal) and Luke (Ashley) Stiefel; sisters, Elaine (Johnny) Gipson and Lori (Terry) Franklin; brothers, Bill (Betty), Keith (Nelda) and Kurt (Michelle) Stiefel; grandchildren, Courtney (Stephen) Bird, Daniel, Kristen, Uriah, Katie-Bec, Morgan, Moriah Jewel, Elyza and Ellasyn; mother-in-law, Janie Bivens; several nieces and nephews. Funeral services will be 2:10 PM Sunday in the funeral home chapel with Ministers Andy Lockhart, Larry Campbell and Charles Thomas officiating with burial to follow in the Burketts’s Chapel Cemetery.
